Fortunately, research has shown that virtual therapy can be just as beneficial and effective as in-person therapy. As part of our ongoing commitment to making wellness as accessible as possible, we are pleased to offer online counseling to residents of Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, Utah, and Ohio. Our online therapy services are ideal for clients who need or prefer to receive care from the comfort of their home or on the go.

How Does Online Therapy Work?

At a glance..

Virtual counseling works the same as in-person counseling except your sessions occur via video conferencing. You’ll still be face-to-face, but you will be connected to your therapist via a HIPAA-compliant video platform. You will receive the exact same level of care and confidentiality as you would in an in-person therapy session. Whether you are at home or away traveling, virtual counseling is designed to make getting the help you need easy and convenient.

Online counseling allows us to serve residents of Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, Utah, and Ohio. If you are located in Kansas or Missouri, then most of our services are available hybrid – meaning both in-person and virtually. However, we do not currently offer Play Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy virtually. 

Finally, please note that while many insurance plans do cover online therapy, some do not. Please contact your insurance to confirm if online counseling is covered by your insurance plan.

How to prepare for a virtual therapy session:

Choose a space that is private, comfortable, and quiet where you will not be interrupted, overheard, or distracted. Whether that is your bedroom, an office, or a hotel, anywhere can work as long as you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings in an open way.
