A Little About Adam

After spending 13 years in the field of Electrical Engineering, Adam decided he needed a change vocation.  He began attending the University of Missouri-Kansas City, earning his Masters Degree in Counseling.  Adam joined the Wellness Counseling Center, LLC staff in February of 2023, and works out of our Greenwood location.  Adam uses IFS, ACT, and Person-Centered modalities in his daily practice.

“I believe that everything we do is an attempt to meet our needs in some way.  Even the things we might be struggling with have the purpose of helping us.  As we begin to understand and accept the intention of our behaviors, we can then make shifts that are more effective at that strategy.  I help adults become who they want to be by heling them understand what they need, and how to meet those needs more effectively.”

For 6 months out of the year, Adam is a volunteer Astronomer at the Warko Observatory at UMKS.  He enjoys hiking, biking, mountains, and playing board games.  He also enjoys spending time at home with his dog and cat.
